The 16th installment of the Rugby League World Cup will see 16 teams compete, an increase of two from previous years, and will run in parity with Women’s and Wheelchair tournaments.
World Gymnastics Championships
The World Gymnastics Championships will take over Liverpool from October 29 until November 6, 2022. It will showcase the world’s greatest gymnasts as they take to the global stage as they compete for the title of World Gymnastic Champion. With the first edition of the tournament held in 1903 exclusively for male gymnasts, it is one of the oldest and most celebrated gymnastic tournaments throughout the world. UEFA Women’s EURO
From July 6 until July 31, 2022, the UEFA European Women’s Football Championship, or the UEFA Women’s EURO as it is perhaps more commonly known, will take place in London for the first time since 2005 when only eight teams were featured. It will mark the 13th edition of the tournament and the second time it has taken place since the decision to expand to 16 teams was made. With the Netherlands the current reigning champions and Northern Ireland due to participate for the first time, it is sure to be an action-packed month for both existing and new women’s football fans throughout the world.
European Taekwondo Championships
If you are a taekwondo fan, you will be pleased to know that, in 2022, Manchester will host the European Taekwondo Championships from May 19 until May 22 for the first time since 2012. The four-day event is expected to attract over 400 athletes from over 40 European nations and will take place at the home of British taekwondo, the Manchester Regional Arena.
