Danny Menzies, host of “A Place in the Sun,” braved sub-zero temperatures to swim in a Scottish loch, sharing a video on social media while wearing a red bikini. The temperature reached minus 12 degrees, and although she enjoyed the wild swim, she remarked that two minutes was plenty. Menzies, who recently transitioned to co-hosting a podcast with Health Lottery, features inspiring conversations with various celebrities. She also reflected on her past relationship and the loss of co-star Jonny Irwin, paying tribute to him on social media. Menzies continues to focus on new projects and personal growth.

Throughout her television career, she has enjoyed the sun, sea, and sand on tropical beaches around the world.

But Danny Menzies endured much colder water on Wednesday as he swam in a frigid Scottish loch in sub-zero temperatures.

The 36-year-old host of “The Place in the Sun” posted a video on social media showing her braving the frigid temperatures in a red bikini.

“It was minus 12 degrees here last night, so this is going to be interesting,” she said in the video.

The star, who said she likes to swim wildly, steps into the water and her black Labrador, Mona, swims out to join her.

“I don’t know what the water temperature was, but I can tell you that two minutes was enough,” Menzies said in a message accompanying the post.

The water in the video is probably Loch Tay. Her parents live on a large property by a lake in Kenmore, Perthshire.

Later in the video, Menzies, wearing a white gown and woolen hat, played tug of war with Mona using a towel.

This fun clip was published after the presenter made a surprising career change with a new project.

The Scottish star began co-hosting A Place In The Sun in 2016, but announced her exit from the show early last year.

In conjunction with Health Lottery, Danny has launched an ‘inspirational’ podcast where he speaks to celebrities such as Kay Adams from Loose Women.

Danny told the Scottish Sun at the time:

“I can’t wait to share this uplifting and funny story of kindness, resilience, and celebrating achievement with people from all walks of life.”

The pod also featured award-winning filmmaker and photographer Doug Allan, Michelin-starred chef Andy Beynon, and bestselling author Chris Brookmire.

“It was minus 12 degrees here last night, so this is going to be interesting,” she said in the video.

The star, who said she loves wild swimming, steps into the water and is joined by her black Labrador, Mona, who swims out to meet her.

Danny’s show is now available on all platforms including Apple, Spotify, and Amazon Music starting May 23rd.

Her show is part of the Pay it Forward campaign, launched by The Health Lottory, which has raised more than £130 million for welfare causes across the UK.

“We hope this podcast allows listeners to feel the joy of giving back and celebrating life’s victories, big and small,” said Mark Nash, the company’s marketing director. This is a great showcase of what the Health Lottery is all about. ”

Also last year, Danny confirmed he was single and was simply enjoying life after a brief relationship with fellow Scot Jay Younger, 31.

She proved it by sharing stunning photos from her solo trip to the Cayman Islands to meet friends in April.

Danny said, “It didn’t work out with Jay, but that’s okay.” If you travel a lot for work, it can be difficult to meet people. ”
