A 16-year-old boy and 40-year-old woman were shot dead as several gunmen shot at two rival cars outside a high school graduation ceremony in Michigan.

Cops have launched a driving manhunt for the shooters, which spread off after exchanging guns in a parking lot near East Kentwood High School Thursday night.

Shots were fired at East Kentwood High School following an inaugural ceremony for the district’s alternative school, Crossroads Alternative High School, Thursday night.

The Kent County Sheriff’s Office said the suspects immediately fled the scene and remain at large.

Sixty students and their families were involved in Thursday night’s graduation ceremony. Attendees were able to leave immediately after the shooting.

The shooting comes just one day after shots were fired after a high school graduate in Tennessee, killing one teen and injuring another.

“When violence takes place within our community, it is both difficult and tragic,” Superintendent Kevin Polston said in a press release.

“We remain committed to the health and safety of our community and will provide support and guidance to all students in need.”
