“Sarah Jessica was the only person who knew he was ill when we were filming until things couldn’t be denied.
“Thankfully, I was able to shoot with him not only just before he got sick, but also after that, so I was able to talk and hear about him.
“I know it was very important to us. I think it was also important to him. Don’t hide it from us anymore.”
Cynthia, who plays Mildana Hobs and the sequel to the show at SATC, quoted Charlotte York Goldenblatt from the show played by Kirstin Davis.
“As Charlotte says,’death is part of life’, but it reminds us how precious our loved ones are to us,” she said.
Willy will appear in the first two episodes of And Just Like That as Stanford Blatch, the character of SATC. However, it is not yet known how the series will handle the passage of actors in the next episode.
After Willie’s death, Sex and the City star Sarah, 56, shared a heartbreaking tribute to the star.
She told Vogue: “I can tell you now that the scoop seems to have been taken out this week and I don’t think it will be full.
“In time, my body got used to this new architecture, but now it feels really blue.
“It’s such a loss, and I think about how to miss the joy of these relationships.”
She added: “Think about Willie and Shaw, and how much we laughed.
“And, despite everything, I think it’s a headline. There are so many good things in the world and we were all very lucky to be together and do what we love.”

Meanwhile, when news of Willie’s death came to light, show executive producer Michael Patrick spewed out about his dedication to work, even when he was sick.
