15-year-old boy stabbed to death outside Huddersfield school | UK News

Police have opened a murder investigation after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed outside a school in Huddersfield.

At 2:54 pm Wednesday, officers received a third-party report that a teenager was assaulted and seriously injured on Woodhouse Hill in Fartown.

The victim, who was in critical condition, was treated at the scene and taken to Leeds General Infirmary for emergency surgery. The teenage boy was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after, police said.

The attack occurred near the entrance of the North Huddersfield Trust School (a mixed secondary school), after which a police cordon was set up.

Detectives from the West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Lead Investigation Team are leading an investigation into the murder of an unidentified boy. No arrests have been made.

Senior investigator DS Mark Bowes said he had identified a number of witnesses, but wanted to hear from anyone who had any information.
