Watch Palmeiras’s ace defeat Flamengo to beat Copa Libertadores after “pushing” from the referee in a shameful scene

Palmeiras star Deyverson was accused after diving in the final victory of the 2 to 1 Copa Libertadores with Flamengo after a slight boost from the referee.

When Deyverson was talking to one of his opponents, the game was deeply involved in the extra time in less than a minute.

The referee intervened and gave the Palmeiras star a slight push to resume the game.

But Deyverson had other ideas.

The Brazilian shyly fell to the floor, holding his back and seriously injuring him.

Due to Deyverson’s wasted time and extra time goals, Palmeiras won his third Libertadores title against the star-studded Flamengo team.

Flamengo’s first XI housed David Lewis, Felipe Luis, Andreas Pereira (who had an absolute shocker), and former Inter Milan striker Gabrieu Barbosa.

But seeing off their cunning enemies was not enough.

Pereira failed Deyverson’s goal. He was caught with his flat feet deep in his half, bouncing forward and closing the winner.

Experienced consecutive winner Lewis defends his teammates, saying:

“He was playing a great game, playing great, and everything collapsed in one fell swoop.

“The only thing I told him was that no matter how many people analyzed the moment, he didn’t lose the match because of it.

“Our vision must be deeper and broader than that analysis, especially for good players like Andreas.

“He’s a great friend, a great player, sad because he’s more suitable, and sad because we’re more suitable, so I’m very sad.”
