Medical aid donations from the UK to Ukraine will soon reach more than 11 million, which will help save tens of thousands of lives.

The fourth tranche of aid from the UK over the past week, which includes:

  • 4.2 million doses of medicines, including painkillers, antibiotics, which can be used to treat infections on the battlefield, as well as infections caused by poor hygiene.
  • 1.5 million other accessories, including PPE: respirators

The 5.78 million items in recent shipments more than doubled the 5.29 million items donated in the first three tranches to a total of 11.07 million.

Some 16 million people are reportedly in need of humanitarian assistance in Ukraine, and access to care is urgently needed in cities most affected by Russian attacks, such as Mariupol and Irpin.

The latest deliveries are sent in response to a request from the Ukrainian government. They will provide medical treatment to those injured in Ukraine’s brutal “deliberate attacks” on civilians in Ukraine, as well as help the government prepare for possible future threats.

The UK Government will continue to work closely with Ukrainian Government officials to tailor our support և targeted supplies to reach those most in need. This will include further donations of both new and NHS ambulances in the coming weeks to step up efforts to save life on the front lines in Ukraine.

Foreign Minister Liz Truss said:

Great Britain stands shoulder to shoulder with our Ukrainian friends. As the number of medical ambulances delivered by Russia increases, we have responded with rescue medical supplies where they are most needed.

As one of the largest donors of humanitarian aid, Britain will continue to care for those who bravely resist Putin’s insidious aggression until Ukraine succeeds.

Secretary of Health and Social Care Sajid Javid said.

Russia’s unpublished illegal attacks on Ukraine have created an ambulance targeting Putin, including medical facilities such as maternity hospitals, hospitals and ambulances.

The UK’s support to our friends in Ukraine is unwavering, providing them with much-needed medicines and equipment, which has saved tens of thousands of lives.

Thank you for donating to England, Wales, Northern Ireland և Scotland NHS to activate essential medical supplies.

The UK also provides special equipment to treat spinal cord injuries. This was donated by the UK Ambulance Service, which is ready to provide medical assistance in global emergencies. This will help build the capacity of the National Rehabilitation Center in Ukraine by freeing up bed space in hospitals to accommodate other critical cases.

Additional medical aid shipments came from the United Kingdom, including donations from the NHS England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland to the NHS, with NHS Wales providing more than $ 1 million in the final tranche.

The Minister of Health and Social Services of the Government of Wales Eluned Morgan said:
