Daily Covid cases in the United Kingdom reached the highest total in three months, with an additional 42,776 cases recorded.
That number is the highest since July 21, when 44,104 people were positive.
This number is also higher than yesterday’s total of 38,520 (and last Wednesday’s 39,851) with more than 1,000 positive tests.
However, the country’s death toll fell to the numbers recorded this day last week.
Today’s 136 deaths are 143 last Wednesday, less than yesterday’s 181.
Deaths have declined, but cases have increased as UK employment rates have reached pre-Covid levels. Countless workers have returned to the office.
Workers are also enjoying a wage boom that is much higher than inflation, with wages rising significantly by 5.6% in just three months.
Meanwhile, family doctors are reportedly told to destroy the Covid rulebook to give them more time to meet in person.
This move is expected as part of a package from the Minister of Health Sajid Javid To improve GP access.
It will be released in the coming days and will focus on reducing bureaucracy in healthcare professionals. Daily mail report..
GP surgery may provide fresh Covid guidance, such as abolishing the 2 meter social distance rule and relaxing the enhanced cleaning regime.
Whitehall sources emailed the new package that the minister would work with the profession to create more face-to-face appointments following the sharp decline during the pandemic.
Sources added: “GP does a great job in difficult situations. We admire the majority of people who are doing their best for their patients.
“We are working closely with the NHS to support the GP and plan for better results for our patients.
“We all want the same result, and we can achieve it by working together, but keep the minority down and turn the side down.”
