Tony Blair today warns that Labor must “reject the awakening of the minority” in order to regain power.
In a fierce assessment, he said the party’s significant decline in popularity far exceeded Redwall and extended to every corner of Britain.
Sir Keir Starmer has to be more radical to get rid of the left — and his “enemy is cautious,” the former Prime Minister added. His warning is in a report by the Tony Blair Institute based on polls of 5,500 former and current Labor supporters.
Disgusted voters found that “out of touch” workers believed that they were more interested in waking up than helping ordinary British people.
According to the survey, “There is no problem with the Red Cliffs in labor. There are problems everywhere.”
Blair urged Sir Keir to further reorganize the party, prove credible in the No. 10, and regain the center of voters worried about taxes, education, and the NHS.
He said he should not compromise with the hard left, adding that “the country must know that there is no doubt about negotiating terms of power with them.”
