Today’s Public Health Scotland Covid figures as recorded 1,604 new cases

Another 1,604 Covid cases were published as follows: Scottish The number of deaths from the virus has increased again.

The data was released by the Scottish Government and the Scottish Public Health Service this afternoon as part of a national Covid-19 daily briefing.

There are 529 patients being treated in hospitals nationwide, down 7 from yesterday. Currently, there are 47 sick people being treated in the ICU.

Number of newly reported positive coronavirus cases recorded by NHS Ayrshire & Alan Increased from 76 to 23,249.

Of the new cases, 33 were from East Ayrshire and 26 were from South Ayrshire. There were 17 new cases in North Ayrshire.

A total of 332,455 positive tests were recorded from the 2,399 million tests performed since the pandemic began.

According to the 7-day infection rate per 100,000 population in Public Health Scotland, Midlothian has the highest infection rate in the country, at 447.8 as of Monday, July 19.

The second highest is Dundee at 357.6, and Edinburgh (339.7) is the third highest.

Locally, South Ayrshire infection rates stand at 187.4 in the east. Ayrshire At 173.8. North Ayrshire is 147.7.

Currently, 20 of Scotland’s 32 council areas have infection rates below the national average of 262.8.

An additional 13 people have been confirmed dead in the last 24 hours, with 7,813 deaths since March 2020.

However, according to data from the National Records of Scotland (NRS), 10,220 deaths had been registered by Sunday, July 11, and the death certificate stated the disease.
