He told a US federal judge on Friday, “Don’t let me die in prison waiting for the opportunity to be free.”

Wearing an orange prison jumpsuit, the 58-year-old still had his trademark Bora hairstyle, but the bleached blonde had faded to gray.

Baskin and her husband also attended the proceedings, saying she was afraid that exotics could threaten her.

“He continues to have strong malice against me,” she said.

Both exotic and Baskin starring in the Netflix documentary Tiger King It became an international hit in 2020, with the second series released last year.

Proponents of exotics filled the courtroom on Friday, with some reading Free Joe Exotic in animal print masks and shirts.

His lawyer said they would appeal against both the indignation and the petition of the new trial.

The latest hearing was last year by the Federal Court of Appeals. Exotic sentences should be shortened..

The Appeal Judge has exotically agreed that his two separate murder convictions should be treated as one. Both were aimed at arranging the death of Ms. Baskin.

His lawyer said their client, who once ran a zoo in Winwood, Oklahoma, wasn’t serious.

Exotic, who remains innocent, was also convicted of killing five tigers, selling tiger cubs, and tampering with wildlife records.
