Mukendi, who confessed to having committed extreme pornography before being convicted of rape, was arrested after police collected a number of “cold cases”.

He surrendered to the police in December 2020, after being recognized as a media outlet.

Police later searched Mukendi’s apartment and found a MacBook under his bed.

Judge Andrew Holmes told the Wood Green Crown court last week how Mukendi attacked his first victim in September 2017.

The woman was told to “get down on her knees” before Mukendi pulled out a knife and held it around her neck.

Melissa Garner from CPS says: “Francis Mukendi is a sex predator, he hunted women who went home alone at night.

“All of these victims were tragically attacked when they were just a few feet away from the security of their homes.

“They were terrified and forced to obey when Mukendi was threatened with a knife, in one case with a hammer.

“The prosecution’s case included evidence of Mukendi being videotaped in the home of several of his victims, and TikTok music videos made by Mukendi showing knives used during the attacks.

“A laptop belonging to Mukendi was found under his bed, which contained a video of one of the rapes, which he shot for his own sexual pleasure. “Mukendi is a dangerous individual.”

Detective Stacey Smith, a CIA officer, added: “Mukendi is a very dangerous criminal who targeted these women when they were going home alone in the dark.

“He was waiting for the most convenient moments before his attacks. His actions left these women traumatized by what happened to them.

“I want to thank them for appearing and supporting the police investigation. “To provide strong evidence that led to this conviction, they guaranteed that Mukendi could not subject anyone to such horrific attacks.”

Mukendi, who is not a permanent resident, will later be sentenced in the same court.
