Oti discussed the exciting news earlier this week and said:
“It’s an extraordinary skill that’s also very beautiful to see. I’m very enthusiastic about joining the panel with the legendary Torvill, Dean and Ashley Banjo.
“I can’t wait to see the celebrities thrive as they learn how to ice skate and defend professional skaters as they create incredible choreography.”
“Because I was on both sides of the table, I know a little about how they feel. It’s more than an honor and I can’t wait to join the family already,” she continued.
Oti is clearly excited about her new venture, but some think it’s likely that this means she’s calling it strictly quit.
Celebrity PR and spokeswoman Harry Rutter Metro online: “This kind of movement rarely happens, but it’s likely that the ITV boss has made a very attractive offer.
“Oti has been doing Strictly Come Dancing since 2015 and has gained a fair amount of viewers both on TV and online, which ITV has taken into account.”
Harry goes on to say:
“Audiences invest in talent and people, so if your favorite celebrity launches a new venture or game show, they’ll pay attention to it. You’ll see that’s happening at Oti.”
Harry went on to say that ITV could have hired Oti because he was “investing in Oti as a personality” and branded it as a “great career move” for professional dancers.
