The organizers of the Women’s Tour de France hope that the reopened event will be a long and prosperous one.

Female Tour de France Resurrected next year Christian Purdom, Amoris Sport Organization (ASO) Cycling Director, said the race wants him to survive.

The Women’s Tour hasn’t been held since 1989, starting this year in Paris and ending eight days later at the summit of the Superplanche de Belfil, which passes through eastern France in eight stages.

“It’s a balanced route and suitable for some types of riders,” race director Marion Ruth told reporters.

Men’s tour director Purdom said the biggest challenge was to make the race a financially sustainable event.

“If it were sustainable, the women’s tour would have been held for 40 years,” he told reporters Thursday prior to the 2022 men’s and women’s tour awards ceremony.

“The biggest challenge is to broadcast the race. I think we did a good job as the race started on the same day that the men’s race ended in Paris,” said Purdom, who said the event was in 170 countries. I added that it will be broadcast on.

Men’s races are broadcast in about 190 countries.

More than 300 towns apply and pay Host a men’s tour stage every year, Prudom had to approach the candidates themselves for the women’s race.

“But they all pay admission. To give a comparative element, it’s more than Paris-Nice and Criterium du Dauphin (1 week men’s stage race),” he added.

“The goal is to organize a race that will survive 100 years and can be seen when I’m older and using Walker,” said 60-year-old Purdom.

The 2022 Women’s Tour runs from July 24th to 31st and begins two weeks after the end of the longest women’s race on the calendar, Girodonne (July 1-10).

Double Tour Champion Tadej Pogačar Slovenian players who defend the men’s title are very interested in this event.

“Maybe after the tour, I’ll go see the Women’s Tour in a camper van,” he told reporters Thursday. “This is a historic moment for cycling and will be a great event.”

“Holding this race is a big step, and it’s a dream come true,” added French champion Evita Muzic.

“I used to see boys on tour when I was young, but now it’s going to be little girls to see girls on tour.”
