A video has surfaced of eight-year-old baby George telling his father Prince William she was “too hot” in her outfit.
After hugging William, the young prince initially said he was fine, but later complained of the heat while walking with his parents.
Fans on social media also expressed concern about the youngster being too warm, with royal editor Robert Jobson tweeting that while William and Kate respected the All England Club’s formal dress code, no one would mind George wearing something less formal. :
Arriving at the final with his mother Kate Middleton, the young prince looked smart in a suit and tie.
As Kate introduced her son to Wimbledon officials, she reached out to shake their hands and greeted them with a smile.
Speaking to All England Club chairman Ian Hewitt, Kate said: “This is George.”
He then told his son about Ian’s work at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
Kate said: “Ian is in charge of everything here, George. Pretty sure everything is planned.”
As the camera followed George into the building, he spotted his father, William, who immediately reached out to hug his eldest son.
Returning the hug, George had something to say to his father.
When Wills asked his son if he was “okay,” George replied, “yes”.
But seconds later, as he entered the building with his parents, the eight-year-old boy said he was “too hot” in his outfit.
The footage shows William bending down to hug his son as Kate looks on, while the young prince quietly tells his father he’s “so hot”.
Prince George, 8, was pictured wiping his forehead as his father William checked on him as temperatures soared to 28 at Center Court.
Despite being “overheated”, George appeared to be having a great time watching the match with his father, which saw Djokovic come back from the fight to retain his Wimbledon title.
Kate then advised her son that he should avoid sitting in the “bright sun” and added that they were “frequently in the shade”.
As the family made their way to the court, they saluted the servicemen and women before the game.
George beamed and nodded as he spoke to the woman in uniform.
The temperature at Wimbledon rose on Sunday afternoon as Novak Djokovic met Nick Kyrgios as defending champion Djokovic retained his title.
While George was excited about the four-set match that Djokovic won after losing the first set, the king-in-waiting looked a little uncomfortable in the Royal Box.
Seated in Center Court between Kate, who stunned in a £1,335 navy polka dot Alessandra Rich dress, and William, who wore a stylish beige blazer, George patted his head and looked a little confused.
Kate, pictured in a stunning polka dot dress by Alessandra Rich, sat in the royal box with her son George and husband William as they watched Nick Kyrgios take on Novak Djokovic.
The photos showed distraught father William checking on his son as he tried to cool down.
Some viewers took to Twitter to express their concern for the young prince in his suit.
One person wrote: “Why do they put him in a suit and tie in this heat?”
The other said: “Poor Prince George in a shirt, tie and jacket in that stifling heat.”
With the colorful Kyrgios frustrated throughout the match, viewers were also concerned that George might be subject to some choice language he may not have heard before.
“Prince George is hearing a language he never knew existed today.”
Another Twitter user suggested: “Don’t think little George ever heard such language before.”
