Joel told Paddy McGuinness on BBC Radio 2 on Sunday that he wouldn’t be disappointed if Macy left the show early, joking: “I’ll get the same money and I won’t have to do anything else.” he said.
He said, “This is why ‘The Masked Singer’ is so good. It doesn’t matter if the singer is good or not. This show doesn’t fit into either camp.”
“In Macy’s case, she’s a legend and she’s got a recognizable voice. And we all know she’s who she is, so she might as well go. And They let us pass because we don’t know who they are yet.”
“But if you go home early, you get the same money and don’t have to do anything else, so it’s a win-win situation.”

“And my shorts, I jokingly suggested they shorten them every ad break, which they did, and when she popped out, I was in like hot pants. .”
Maisie looked unimpressed as she exited the stage after being announced as the latest celebrity to quit British Masked Singer, leaving ITV viewers in complete shock.
The American singer was voted out after a performance with Bear, Wolf, Puffer and Bush, so he had to remove the head of his costume to reveal his identity.
Joel also reshared a clip to his Instagram grid of Macy, who was hosting the show, walking away and simply writing, “LOL.”

This relates that Macy was completely ‘blindsided’ by being one of the first contestants to leave the UK show after disguising herself as a sea queen to reach the finals in the 2023 US version. This was in response to a claim made by someone.
Macy was reportedly “shocked” and “disappointed” to leave the hit ITV show so early, despite enjoying her time on the American version.

“It’s just fun and I really enjoy it. But the production definitely allows me to do pretty much whatever I want.”
