The body found in an undersea bag off the island of Tenerife has been identified as the body of a missing 6-year-old girl taken by her father a few weeks ago.
Investigators exploring the waters off the port of Guimal found the bag tied to an anchor approximately 3,200 feet (1,000 m) below the surface. SpainCivil Guard said on Friday.
Coroners later identified the body as Olivia Guimeno. His father, Thomas, took her and her one-year-old sister Anna without permission on April 27.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said, “I can’t imagine the pain of little Anna and Olivia’s mother.
“My hug, my love, and that of my whole family who sympathize with Beatrice and her loved ones today.”
Queen Leticia of Spain also expressed her “pain and sadness” before Olivia was found last week.
