A Scottish mother of three could become a millionaire in no time after she sells the luxury home she bought for just £10.
Rachel Reid, 54, from Inverness, has put the five-bedroom property on the market for just under £3 million, five months after getting the keys to her luxury bungalow.
In July, Mrs Reed and her husband Darren, 56, bought a property near Farnham, Surrey, and are now enjoying a stunning property with a heated 40ft indoor swimming pool and gym.
But now, after almost 30 years of marriage, the couple have decided to move back to Scotland to be closer to friends and family.
If the £3 million sale goes through, she will reap a huge profit of the £10 she spent entering the Omaze competition.
She is the latest Scottish person to sell after winning a life-changing lottery, with Glasgow man Grant Carson selling his Lake District home within months of winning.
Reed, a childcare worker, said the money would “change everything for the whole family.”
She said: “I still can’t believe this really happened to us. We got a multi-million pound house in Surrey and our lives changed forever.”
Nursery teacher Rachel Reid, 54, won £3 million in property and £100,000 in cash after betting just £10.

Rachel, from Devon, bought the £3 million winning entry for just £10 and works as an assistant at a forestry school.
“We’ve really enjoyed spending time in this house. It’s magical and the whole family loves it.”
“The locals were all nice and welcoming. It’s a great area.”
As well as the house, she also won a large amount of cash as part of the prize.
She said: “Thanks to the money we got as part of our big win, we can stay here for years if we want and not have to worry about expenses. But we love where we live now. I decided to do that.” You can sell it for cash and buy a great home near your family and friends in Scotland.
“The money we get from the sale will change everything for our whole family. It’s just incredible.”
This recently renovated property features a separate pool house with shower, gym and sauna for the ultimate at-home spa experience.
There is a large entrance hallway leading to a vaulted reception room overlooking the rear garden.
Meanwhile, the kitchen and dining area have oak floors throughout, and the kitchen features an island with a breakfast bar and a range of Siemens fittings.
This home also has a spacious living room and separate study.
As well as making Rachel a millionaire, Surrey’s Omaze Million Pound House Draw raised £3.45 million for Prostate Cancer UK in just six weeks.
There are 5 bedrooms, including the main suite, which has a bespoke dressing area and en suite bathroom.
Renovated to an unparalleled standard, it incorporates modern architectural design and luxurious style to provide elegant living spaces.
She and Darren have been married for 29 years and have lived in their current three-bedroom house in Inverness for three years.
If Rachel decides to rent out the property, a local estate agent estimates it could achieve a long-term rental value of between £9,000 and £10,000 per month.
There is also a spacious living room and separate study.
This home is secluded and sits on 1.4 acres with an outdoor kitchen, landscaped grounds, and large wooded areas.
The property is listed on Rightmove via Savills for £2.95 million.
An Omaze spokesperson said all winners will be “free to decide whether to live in their new home, rent it out for extra income, or sell it at any time to become a cash millionaire, starting from day one.” We can put it on the market.” They get the key – the choice is completely theirs.
A spokesperson said: “The Omaze Grand Prize winner will also receive £250,000 in cash to help maintain and settle into their new property.”
“Estimated running costs for each home can be viewed by participants on the Omaze website. If they decide to keep their home, they can comfortably live in it for many years using just their £250,000 settlement. There will be plenty of room.
“All properties on Omaze come with no mortgage, no stamp duty or legal fees, and the properties also come with all the furniture advertised.
“Omaze has equipped each property with well over £100,000 worth of furniture and essentials, so everything is ready for winners to enjoy as soon as they receive the keys.”
