“For the past 25 years, Eileen Grimshaw has been at the heart of some of the most memorable and iconic Corrie stories, and her on-screen rivalry with Gail Platt will undoubtedly go down in Corrie legend.
“There is certainly no one like Eileen and her character will be greatly missed at Cobbles. We wish Sue all the best as she embarks on her next exciting chapter.”

She said: “I lost 18 pounds.” [in 2022’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here]. I had already lost a stone and a half that year because I had stopped drinking. I decided to do a “Dry January” and then continue.
“It may sound silly at this age, but when you drink a glass of red wine while making dinner, and then drink another glass of red wine while eating, you don’t think about how many calories you’re burning. I’ve never had one.
“If you do that four or five nights a week, that adds up to a lot of calories.”
Fans were stunned by Sue’s amazing transformation, with one gasping: “I almost didn’t recognize her!” Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine.
