1 in 10 COVID-19 Studies show that infectivity can continue after 10 days.

In the United Kingdom, people who tested positive for the virus had to quarantine for less than five days.

When announcing the cut, Health Minister Sajid Javid quoted UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) Data showing that about two-thirds of people lost their infectivity by day 5.

UKHSA also found that about 5% of people were still infected after 10 days. However, according to a new study led by the University of Exeter, this number could be more than double that number.

Of the 176 people who tested positive for PCR, 13% were found to be potentially infectious after 10 days.

Researchers used a newly adapted test that could detect if the virus was still potentially active.

A PCR test can tell if someone has recently been infected with the virus, but it cannot be trusted to know if it is infectious.

The tests used in this study give positive results only if the virus is active and potentially infectious.

It turns out that some people can be infected for up to 68 days.

Professor Lorna Harrys of the University of Exeter School of Medicine, who oversaw the study, said: Subsequent transmission.

“Moreover, there was nothing clinically noteworthy about these people, that is, we cannot predict who they are.”

The authors of the study stated that new types of tests need to be used to protect vulnerable people.

Lead author Merlin Davies said:

“We may need to make sure that people in those settings have a negative active virus test to make sure that people are no longer infectious. We will investigate this further. Therefore, we would like to conduct a larger test. “
