Broadway legend Stephen Sondheim died at the age of 91.
According to lawyer F. Richard Papas, a well-known American composer and lyricist died “suddenly” at his home in Roxbury, Connecticut. New York Times report.
Papas said Sondheim celebrated Thanksgiving The day before, with friends around him.
Sondheim wrote the West Side Story and Gypsy’s words. Interesting things that happened on the way to the forum, music and lyrics from a list of famous shows including Follies, Little Night Music, Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods, Sweeney Todd.
The composer was born on March 22, 1930 in New York City to middle-class parents Herbert and Janet Sondheim.
His father was a dressmaker and his mother worked in the same industry as fashion designers and interior decorators.
After studying the piano for two years from an early age, he became interested in the musical stage and continued his education.
