Squid Game comes to life with 456 real players vying for a prize of £ 3.7 million last | Ents & Arts News

Squid Game comes to life – with 456 real players who get a chance to compete for a prize of £ 3.7 million.

The anti-utopian Korean drama has become “the biggest Netflix TV show ever” since it was released last year.

He followed 456 players, all of whom were in deep financial difficulties, risking their lives to play a series of deadly children’s games.

The show, in Korean, showed brutal scenes of desperate people fighting to the death to be the last player to stand up and take the money.

However, the new reality show will not compete to the death!

Competitors will go through a series of games inspired by the original show, but the most difficult frontiers will be testing their strategies, alliances and character as others are eliminated around them.

Netflix said: “The stakes are high, but in this game the worst fate is to come home empty-handed.”

The competition series of 10 episodes is created jointly by producers behind the reality show on social networks The Circle and the award-winning documentary series 24 Hours at A&E.

He will have both the greatest acting and the biggest one-time cash prize in the history of reality television.

Brandon Rigg, vice president of Netflix Unscripted and Documentary Series, said: “Squid Game has taken the world by storm with a compelling story and iconic director Hwang.

“We are grateful for his support as we turn the fictional world into reality in this large-scale competition and social experiment.

“Fans of drama series are on a fascinating and unpredictable journey as our 456 real-world racers move on to the biggest race series ever, full of suspense and twists, with the biggest cash prize at the end.

Squid Game was an extremely popular children’s game in Korea in the 1970s and 1980s, around the time the show’s director grew up in Seoul.

In the game, the children were divided into attack and defense and played in a squid-shaped board drawn on the ground.

In June, Netflix confirmed that a second season of the show’s drama series had been ordered.
