Sony Fodera awakens us before Printworks with a huge amount of music

It’s been 10 years since Sony Fodera appeared from below.

Meanwhile, he has evolved into one of the world’s most sought-after artists with his new album “Wide Awake,” including Dance Anthem, Pop Collaboration, Samton Pukins, Ella Eyre, Kelli-Leigh, MK, and Diplo.

Sonny is currently in the middle of a UK and US tour to promote long players. Tonight you can catch him landing in London’s stunning Printworks with Lee Foss, Saffron Stone and Biscits.

We caught up with Sonny before the show and he spoke to us through his current dancefloor weapons playlist.

Sony Fodera Feet Sam Tompkins – You [Solotoko]

I’m a big fan of Sam and had a long date to collaborate on my diary, but it kept moving. In the summer of 2021, I decided to hit him directly on Instagram and put him in the studio. We were there with an insane writer called Jin Jin who wrote for Jax Jones and Jess Glynne, and we all created the track on that particular day.

Chris Lorenzo-California Dreamin (feat. HighJinx) [Black Book Records]

Chris Lorenzo sent me the track before it dropped and I was playing some shows in LA so I decided to play it while I was there. It was definitely the highlight of my set in California.

Biscits-Wait a minute [Solotoko]

I love this from Biscits, which was recently released on my label Solotoko. It’s turned off in the set and has already proved a smash! Please check it.

Yuan McVicker-Tell me something good [Trick]

Another smash, it’s a hit! I recently played in Scotland and it was definitely the highlight of my set. I love the energy from the Scottish crew and the talent that is now coming to their scene.

Sony Fodera-Angel (Feat. ClementineDouglas) [Solotoko]

This was one of the first trucks I made at home when it was blocked in the UK. Clementine sent me some vocals by email, which really stood out. I just made the beat and never actually met in person until my festival with Gorgon City, Back to Love in. [London’s] Finsbury Park, which I played for the first time this summer.

Jamie Jones – Convenient Work [Hot Creations]

I love this song! I always love what Jamie is doing. It reminds me of what he did about 5-10 years ago. And this song is just an absolute weapon.

Ashibah, Saffron Stone – Online [Solotoko]

It’s also a huge club track to be released on my solo toco label and has received a lot of attention in the livestreaming set of the last year! Saffron already has a great track record on the label with some absolute bangers, which, coupled with the talent of Ashiba-like classes who use her own vocals, has become a favorite of certified dance floors.

Stylo, Space Motion-Player [Space Motion Records]

I heard Eric Prydz playing this song in Manchester. I actually played it elrow in Amsterdam over the weekend, and it was arguably the biggest track I played on the whole set. The reaction was insane!

Sony Fodera, Vintage Culture, MKLA – Last Thought [Solotoko]

I was in Brazil in 2019 and was on a stadium tour at Vintage Culture. I decided to make a truck with this vocal from MKLA and build an idea with a jet while flying to another city. I came back about two months later and had a show in São Paulo. There he played back to back with me and MKLA also appeared to sing it. At sunrise in the middle of Sao Paulo, I played this track I wrote by plane. It was a beautiful moment.
