Soccer Aid 2022 LIVE: Penalties as England and World XI draw in 2022 charity game tonight

Soccer Aid: Celebrities playing in this year’s charity match announced

Football Aid 2022 is here with England taking on the World XI at West Ham’s London Stadium tonight with efforts to raise money for Unicef. After Robbie Williams hosted the world’s biggest celebrity football game in 2006, the event has grown every year, featuring the best former footballers, athletes, singers, actors, comedians and more.

Regular players include David Seaman, Jamie Redknapp, singer Olly Walls and TV presenter Ben Shephard, while Dutch midfielder Clarence Seedorf is Soccer Aid’s top scorer with four goals. Bragging rights are of added importance tonight as the winner will share a tie of five wins each from the 10 games played so far, with Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge, Wembley and the Etihad Stadium also hosting over the years . There will also be a concert tonight, with Williams set to perform.

Last year, the World XI, led by Harry Redknapp, with Robbie Keane as assistant player and Judy Murray as tea lady, won 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium thanks to a brace from Love Island stand Kem Cetinay and one of comedian Lee Mack. Cetinay chose the man of the match. There were 51,674 people in attendance that night. Follow the goal and score updates live below, along with the reaction and the best of social media on what promises to be a fun-filled evening.

David Harewood is injured, he will have to clear himself.

Harry Redknapp is furious because he has to use another celebrity and apparently no one can play in goal.

Damian Lewis sent on goal, but it’s a terrible finish and he knows it.
