Now Grenan has postponed the concert he was scheduled to play in Washington on Friday night.

In a statement, his manager, John Dawkins, said: “Tom is currently being evaluated by doctors for his injuries, which include a torn ear, a torn eardrum and a problem with his previous jaw fracture.

“However, Tom is in a good mood, but he needs to recover temporarily while doctors assess his ability to continue his tour.”

The Little Bit Of Love singer “desperately wants to not disappoint anyone”, but his management team made the “cautious decision” to postpone the show in Washington until later.

The statement added: “We would like to thank the amazing American fans of Tom and their support and understanding.

“We will update future broadcasts if changes need to be made,” the statement added.

Grenan was nominated for the Ivor Novello Award this year for the song Let’s Go Home Together, which she performs with Ella Henderson.

IN Ivor Novello Awards recognize the creative achievements in songwriting and composition, and also note a number of singers and songwriters for their wider contribution to UK music.
