Simon Cowell revealed that he wanted to be cryogenically frozen when he died, until he realized that doctors needed to cut off his head.

Cryonics is the low-temperature freezing and storage of human remains, with the speculative hope that resurrection may be possible in the future.

This is viewed with skepticism in the mainstream scientific community.

The first frozen corpse was that of Dr. James Bedford in 1967. By 2014, about 250 dead bodies had been cryopreserved in the United States and 1,500 people had taken steps to cryopreserve their corpses.

Simon also revealed that he plans to leave a “significant amount” – reportedly £ 20 million – to animal charities in his will, including the Dogs Trust, K9 in Barbados and London’s Battersea Dogs Home.

Simon’s revelations came after he recently proposed marriage to his longtime girlfriend and American secular wife Lauren Silverman, 43, with whom he shares his 8-year-old son Eric.

The 62-year-old has never been married. In fact, he had previously denounced marriage as an “obsolete and shackled institution.”

But since he fell in love with Lauren and after the birth of Eric, he has been a changed man.

In addition to raising the issue, Simon suffered a traumatic accident with an electronic bicycle in February, as a result of which he was rushed to hospital with a suspected concussion and a broken arm.

The incident came just 18 months after another electronic bicycle incident in Malibu left him close to paralysis.
