Shane, 48, and Real Housewives of Cheshire wife Sheena, 44, were the public faces of D13 when it first opened.
The couple’s business partner, movie stuntman Nathan Gerhold, had accepted a job with him running the pub.
The trio transformed the 300-year-old building into a modern Irish bar with a Guinness garden and sunny terrace.
A year after launching, the Lynches expressed delight at the “warm welcome” they had received in Knutsford. This pub was the first Irish restaurant to open in Knutsford.

However, in July 2023, the bar was rebranded as ‘The Rusty Shamrock’, with Shane reportedly exiting the business and Nathan remaining in charge.
The bar remained a popular spot in town, frequented by celebrities such as Shane’s pop star sister Edel and Be Witched’s Keavy Lynch, and regularly hosted live performances by local musicians.
However, just before Christmas, The Rusty Shamrock closed after the landlord foreclosed on the property.
A forfeiture notice posted on the door of Cheshire House states: “On December 6, 2024, the landlord peacefully entered and repossessed this property, and the lease granted on October 12, 2020 was forfeited. I am hereby informing you of this.”
The owner of The Rusty Shamrock declined to comment, and the landlord has already secured a new tenant.
It plans to reopen as a bar in February, but it’s unclear whether it will maintain its Irish theme.

The three-part show, scheduled to air on Sky Documentaries and NOW on February 2, will give fans a glimpse into the band’s “fame, fall and tragedy”.
Louis formed Boyzone in 1993 with the inspiration to create “Irish Take That.” After disbanding in 1999, the band reunited in 2007 with Louis at the helm, while their manager also monitored Ronan Keating’s solo career. However, in 2018 they broke off their relationship for good.
A new trailer shows the group admitting that they went through some “brutal” times under Louis’ tutelage.

This is one of several comments the Irish manager makes towards the band throughout the clip, amid a long-running feud with lead singer Ronan.
