Sarah Jessica Parker said she wasn’t ready to mourn her longtime friend and co-star Willie Garson.
Willie died this week at the age of 57 after secretly fighting pancreatic cancer.
On Wednesday, the actress left a heartbreaking note on Willy’s homage to fellow Sex and the City star Chris Noth’s Instagram, saying she wasn’t ready to mourn her friends yet. Admitted.
Chris shares a photo of Willie and Sara taking the next SATC restart and writes “Willie ❤️💔” in the caption.
In a comment, 56-year-old Sarah wrote: “Thanks to my beloved Chris. I’m not ready yet. Xxx”
In June, Willie talked about her intimate friendship with the Hocus Pocus actress.
He said Us Weekly: “As you may know, Sarah Jessica and I were friends for 10 years before the show, and we are still our closest friends. We talk almost every day.”
Willie said he was excited to reunite with Sarah and his other SATC co-stars for the restart shoot that began in June.
“We sometimes talk like Twitter, but we don’t have enough face time with Cynthia Nixon.
“I’m really looking forward to spending time with her,” Willie said at the time.
Some of Willie’s SATC co-stars paid tribute to the star as news of his death was reported on Tuesday.
Cynthia, 55, who plays Miranda Hobbes at the show, was one of Willie’s first co-stars to pay homage.
Nixon shared a photo of her with Willie at the party and delivered a heartfelt message:
“He was endlessly entertaining on screen and in real life. He was a source of light, friendship and show business folklore. He was a perfect professional — always. My heart was directed at my son @Nathen_Garson. Nathen, I hope I know how much he loved you and how proud he was to be your dad. “
Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones in the HBO series, wrote:
Mario Cantone, who starred as Anthony Marantino at the show, also shared a sweet message on social media.
Mario writes: “No other TV partner could be this great. I was overwhelmed by sadness and overwhelmed by sadness. I was soon taken away from all of us. You were a gift from the sweet Willy of the gods. The rest … I love you.”
