London Metropolitan Police said they found Mr Stoyanov with a stab wound.
He was taken to hospital but died the next day from his injuries.
After Stoyanov’s death, a murder investigation was launched leading to the arrest of the schoolboy.
Police said the attack may have been carried out by up to three perpetrators, who then fled the scene on foot.
Chief Detective Kelly Allen of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command said the arrest was a positive development, but police were still hoping for two other suspects.
“Today’s arrest is a positive development, but we know that up to two more suspects were involved,” she said.
“Our investigation is progressing well and a series of investigations are underway to attempt to identify and track other individuals.
“I highly recommend anyone with information that can help us move forward.”

Another added, “This was a good man who died for nothing.”
One of Stoyanov’s friends, Elliot Jones, raised £3,000 to help the family of the murdered man.
