School shooting Ethan Cranby tricked a counselor who advocated drawing graphics into planning a video game

Tim Sloan, director of the Oxford Community School, elaborated on the school’s response to crumble behavior for the first time.

In a tragicly unsuccessful response to a warning sign from Michigan School shooter Ethan Cranby, a school counselor, accepted his claim that graphic drawing was a video game plan hours before his gun rampage, which was revealed.

In a written statement released Saturday, Oxford Community School director Tim Sloan details the school’s reaction to crumble behavior for the first time.

At the first of two meetings with counselors and staff during the shooting week, Cranby said shooting sports were a hobby of his family, Sloan said.

The meeting was called on Monday, the day before the shooting, after a teacher found Cranby looking for gun ammunition on his cell phone.

At a second meeting with a coaching counselor on Tuesday morning, Cranby claimed that his graphic drawings were part of video game design and said he wanted to pursue a career in the field.

According to the coaching counselor, Crumble calmly did his homework while the staff tried to contact his parents, and they went to school to attend the meeting.

The counselor asked Crumble with a chilling note on his desk, with a disturbing picture of guns, bullets, blood, victims of shooting, and laughing pictograms.

The memo contained the following words: According to the prosecution, “my life is useless” and “the world is dead.”

His parents Jennifer and James Cranby were immediately summoned to school, but couldn’t ask if his son had the gun he bought and left school without Ethan, the prosecutor said.

Parents also did not notify the counselor that they had recently purchased a gun for their son during the meeting, Thorn said.

According to Thorne, his parents Jennifer and James Cranby were convened at a meeting to draw the graphics, but didn’t inform the counselor that they had just bought a gun for their son.

“Given the fact that the child had no previous disciplinary action, it was decided that he would be returned to the classroom instead of being sent home to an empty house,” the director said.

Mr. Crumbles couldn’t ask his son about guns or check his backpack, “at that time he resisted the idea that he would leave school,” the prosecutor said.

Instead, the teen returned to class, after which a shooting took place.

According to Thorne, Oxford Community School will hire a third-party investigator to check the behavior of school officials leading up to the shooting.

“Our community and our family are worth a complete transparency of what happened,” Throne writes. “We also plan to update our families and communities on a regular basis.”

The director also praised the quick actions of educators and students who quickly moved to classrooms and other hiding places when shootings occurred in busy corridors while students were changing classes.

“The suspect did not have access to a single classroom,” he wrote.

Nonetheless, four students were killed in a shooting: Tate Myre, 16, Hana St Juliana, 14, Madisyn Baldwin, 17, Justin Shilling, 17.

After reports that many students were afraid to go to school because of rumors that the shooting was imminent, parents repeatedly asked if the district had adequately addressed the threat leading up to the shooting. ..

The throne wrote that the district is considering “everything communication” that the district may have received before the shooting.

However, he added that previous incidents at school, including a deer head amputation thrown from the roof a few weeks ago, were “unrelated to the November 30 incident.”

Ethan Crumbley has not been detained after being charged as an adult for crimes such as murder, attempted murder, and terrorism.

Jennifer and James Cranby are each detained in lieu of $ 500,000 in cash collateral for manslaughter on suspicion of negligence in failing to stop the shooting.

All three crumbles are quarantined under suicide surveillance at Oakland County Prison. They pleaded not guilty.
