Saturday kitchen host Matt Tebat rushes to the hospital for emergency surgery

Matt Tebat announced earlier this week that he was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.

The 48-year-old used an Instagram feed to share the news with 62,200 followers when he posted his snap to a hospital bed attached to a morphine drip.

In the caption, he explained:

Appendectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the appendix and is usually performed as an emergency procedure.

Matt continues as follows: “…. But everyone at Gwent’s Grange Hospital was great. I couldn’t ask for more from such a great medical service.

“I am very grateful. #Nhs #nhsnurse #thegrangehospital #appendectomy”.

As Amanda Ram wrote, a celebrity friend wanted him to recover quickly.

Cat Deeley joked. As Susanna Reed shared, “Morphine with a GnT Chaser”: “painful” with a shocked emoji and a red heart emoji.

Olly Murs added:

As one said, fans also shared concerns about his well-being. [fingers crossed emoji] Send the best wishes & at least you have a nice rearranged lunch to look forward to x “.

Another comment: “My 22 year old son had exactly the same surgery at Grange Hospital. They were great … I hope you get a quick (but not hurry!) Recovery x” ..

While the third person is joking, “I think the hospital chef is more stressed than you,” followed by the heart emoji.

Matt’s surgery will take place just three weeks after celebrating his birthday on December 24, 2021.

To commemorate that opportunity, the TV personality posted a snap of himself drinking a cocktail.

In the caption, he writes: “Happy Birthday to Me !. #martini #twosleepstilchristmas @cowleymanor #cocktails #birthdayatchristmas @frangipanistyle”, Christmas tree emoji and congratulatory emoji.
