ART La Fleuer, best known for playing Babe Ruth in the iconic baseball movie “Sandlot,” has died.
Famous actors have also appeared in other notable films, such as Cobra and Santa Claus films.
According to his wife Sherry, Art died Wednesday after a decade of fighting Parkinson’s disease.
The star is said to have died in his house surrounded by his children and Sherry, but it said Art was “joking” in the time to his death.
Sherry remembered her husband as a “generous and selfless man.” It wasn’t just what he brought into his career, “more importantly, who he was for his family and friends.”
Fans always remember the art famous for playing the role of Great Bambino in the classic family movie “Sandlot” in 1993, but his role in baseball-related movies wasn’t the only one. ..
Art also appeared in the Field of Dreams in 1989, playing Chick Gandil.
Later actors did not pursue an acting career until they moved from Chicago to Los Angeles at the age of 31 in 1975.
His other acting appearances include roles in blobs, Cinderella stories, speed racers, and house hunting.
On the television side, Art has appeared in episodes of Malcolm in the Middle, Bernie Mac Show, JAG, and many other shows.
