Ruth Langsford will stay again this morning as her husband and co-host Eamonn Holmes has announced his departure and will stand in front of GB News.
ITV After speculation that she would also leave, the presenter issued a statement confirming that she would continue her gig at the daytime show.
Ruth (61) and Eamonn (62) have been on the show together for 15 years, including Friday’s slot.

Last November, ITV confirmed that Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond would replace Emon and Ruth at the end of the show on Friday.
A spokeswoman said: ‘As a duo, Eamonn and Ruth have been part of the This Morning presentation team for the past 15 years and appreciate Eamonn’s hard work and contributions to the show.
“Loose continues to be an important part of ITV Daytime as an ongoing member of the Dis Morning family and as an anchor presenter for Loose Women.”
Stay: ITV issued a statement confirming that the presenter will continue her gig at the daytime show after speculation that she will also leave.
Ruth is also a panelist for Ruth Wimin.
Eamonn has announced that he will join GB News for a new show “to show his unprecedented voice and respect.”
He will host the program in the New Year, GB News announced.
He states: “I’ve spent my career on first and startup broadcasts. GB News is one of the most exciting things to date. It’s the kind of shakeup the industry needs.
Familiar: Ruth and Eamon have been presenting together at the show for 15 years, including Friday’s slot (pictured August 2021).
Symbolic: A spokesperson said:
“I’ve praised GB News from the beginning with a clever combination of punchy discussions, but even warmth and fun have been delivered.
“For me, the greatest honor of journalism is to give voice and respect to unprecedented people. That’s all about GB News.”
He also tweeted:’Here’s the news … I’ve been participating in GB News since the New Year. I hope you come with me.
“In the meantime, thank you for the season compliments and the people who support you.”
His career began in 1993, hosting GMTV and staying until 2005.
