A three-year-old boy has died after being attacked by dogs in Rochedele, Greater Manchester.

Police called an ambulance after a child was injured in a car crash in Milnerow, Carne Lane, shortly after 1pm on Sunday.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance, but died from his injuries.

Greater Manchester Police Detective Inspector Jamie Daniels said: “This is a tragic, devastating incident. Our thoughts are with the family at this terrible time.

“We are investigating the incident at this address նախորդ previous incidents involving dogs.

“Despite our inquiries to find out what happened, they will be thorough; they are at a very early stage, we suspect that this little boy, unfortunately, died from injuries received as a result of a dog attack.

“I understand that this is a very disturbing incident for all stakeholders, this news will shock the local community.

“I can only assure everyone that we will work hard to find out all the circumstances that led to this tragedy, that we have an open mind, now it is considered a criminal investigation.

“There will be a significant police presence in the area. “We will be there to investigate and resolve any concerns with residents.”
