Five years after it was made, Ronan Keating is finally ready to move to his dream home with his wife Storm and his family. And I hope they are there in time to open Santa’s gifts.
“Moving will be the moment of pinch me.” Boyzone star Tell the sun. “God, we are in our new Christmas home.
Ronan, 44, Storm, 40, I bought their traditional mansion Located just outside London in 2016, it initially wanted to keep the shell of the house and “revive it.”
However, they were forced to change their tacks after discovering that the plumbing and electrical equipment were inadequate and the structures that needed to be replaced were not sufficiently old.
They decided to build from scratch and designed an inspiring eco-home that could be an example of “high quality and sustainable products and green living”.
“It’s stress,” admits Ronan.
“My wife is congratulating her, managing the project 24 hours a day and trying to complete it. And she got there!”
According to Storm, it took years to plan a completely zero-carbon home.
The former model revealed that the couple would set up a swimming pool and tennis courts without compromising on luxury.
She states: “The entire site with swimming pools and tennis courts will also operate via solar panels and air source heat pumps, and the energy output will be neutral (!) We are very proud and excited.”
Photos from the couple’s private home Instagram account reveal that the home stands on a vast land with stunning views of the countryside.
Ronan is the father of five children: Jack, 22 years old Missy, 20 years old, Ali, 16 years old-from the first marriage with Yvonne Connell-Cooper, 4 years old, 1 year old Coco, he shares with his current wife Storm.
And the Irish crooner will tell you how excited you are to spend your vacation together in your new home. Especially because Storm’s brother and sister-in-law who live in Australia may meet for the first time in two years.
He states: I can’t wait for the whole family to get together.
“Hopefully, Storm’s brother and sister-in-law also come up with children.
“We haven’t seen them for two years!”
Broken heart in the hospital
Christmas comes after a tough year for Ronan’s family, who saw both Storm and his son Cooper spending time in the hospital.
Mom Diagnosed with cauda equina syndrome In March of last year, a rare symptom that the nerves in the lower back were compressed and temporarily paralyzed.
Meanwhile, Cooper Hurry to the hospital Then, in September, I stayed in the ward for two nights, and Ronan scared him and said, “I broke my heart,” even though “there was nothing serious.”
“My goodness is that it’s very painful to see them with their little oxygen masks on,” he recalls. “It broke my heart.
“We found it very difficult, you can imagine what the kids are experiencing.”
And this experience prompted Ronan to work with Ronald McDonald House Charity. Ronald McDonald House Charity takes care of parents of sick children during hospitalization.
Ronan explains: “I understand that feeling because I am a dad. The anxiety, stress and pressure you feel.
“Parents in these places have children with serious illnesses in the future. Here they also come to sleep, eat, take a shower, refresh and experience the same situation. There is this space where you can meet people who go through. It’s irreplaceable. “
In memory of Stephen Gately
With Christmas just around the corner, Ronan can’t help but remember his late Boyzone bandmate Stephen Gately. He died in 2009 at the age of 33.
He talks to us, but he always thinks of him-especially when he’s with other bandmates Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham.
“2007-2009, when the Boyzone reunited before Steven’s death, was the best year for us,” he tells us. “As a band, we were just our happiness.
“We always talk about Stephen. We talk about Stephen even when we’re not together.
“He is very much alive in our lives. I still can’t believe he’s gone.”
It will always be Stephen Gately and I standing side by side
And I’m sure Ronan is thinking about Stephen when he returns to the tour next year. He is playing because he misses the most.
He says, “I think about him regularly, especially when I’m singing on stage.
“I always have him in the performance. It’s very important to me.
“We learned how to sing together and played together. It will always be Stephen and I standing side by side.
“So now every performance has a little Stephen.”
