The Department of Health (DoH) today released its quarterly caregiver statistics for Northern Ireland (January-March 2022).

This publication of quarterly figures relates to the estimates and reassessments offered to caregivers in Northern Ireland. The caregiver assessment treats each caregiver as an individual with his or her own personal circumstances և will identify any special needs they may have as a result of their caring responsibilities.

  • In the quarter ending March 31, 2022, a reassessment of 1255 caregivers was proposed in Northern Ireland. This is an increase of 29% in the number of revaluations proposed in the previous quarter, compared to the same quarter in 2021 by 8%. .
  • Of the 1,255 caregivers recommended, 84% (1058) were accepted / completed and 16% (197) were rejected.
