Peter Andre revealed his involvement in a “horrific knife incident” in which a group of men “threatened to finish me off immediately”.
The ordeal took place at a nightclub in Sydney when Pete was in his twenties and saw a “group of boys” huddled in the corner of the 48-year-old holding a knife to the singer’s Mysterious Girl.
Pete wrote about the horrifying experience in his new one! magazine column as he reflects on his life and 30-year career,
Discussing the impact of the incident on him, Pete wrote that he taught him that life can change in “a split second”.

The star who became famous in the 90s, said: “Many amazing things have happened in the last 30 years, from winning awards to world tours, to the ultimate blessing of having my children.
“But there were also some difficult moments.”
The father of four continued in his column“When I was asked about the harassment and racism that my siblings and I suffered as children in Australia, I remembered a horrific incident at a nightclub in Sydney.”
“A group of boys pushed me into a corner and one of them stabbed me in the throat and threatened to finish me off immediately.
Pete admits that the moment made him feel “very cautious and uncomfortable” every time he went to nightclubs afterwards.
Explaining the lasting effects, he said: “Tonight really scared me and put me off going to places like clubs for a while.
“I went to them again in my thirties, but I always felt very cautious and uncomfortable. This incident made me realize how life can change in a split second.
But the actor says it also made him appreciate how much things have changed over the years.
He said: “But it’s also amazing to look back at how much things have changed.
“From being harassed and rejected, I became accepted and loved, even though I was terribly anxious.
“But next week I’ll be 49 and getting to that age and starting to feel content and happy is a wonderful thing.”
Pete adds that he is “grateful” to be in the position he is in now and at a time in his career where he may refuse a job he does not want to do.
He said: “I have children, I settled with Emily and in terms of work I am in the moment when I can choose the job I want to do – and for me there is nothing better than that.

“So overall, I’m very grateful for the good and bad moments that brought me together at the moment.”
Pete’s career began in the early 90’s and he released his hit song Mysterious Girl in 1995.
The single was a number two hit in the UK singles charts before climbing to number one when it was re-released in 2004 after Pete’s appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here !.
It was during the show that he met his first wife, former glamorous model Katie Price.
The couple has two children – Junior at 16 and Princess at 14 – while Pete is also the father of Amelia, eight and Theo, five, with his second wife, NHS doctor Emily Andrea.
