Omicron XE: Symptoms of a new variant of Covid, as in hundreds of cases in the UK

A new subvariant of Omicron has been found Great Britain As the country struggles with the renewed growth of the coronavirus.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) says 4.9 million people in the UK were infected with Covid-19 last week – a record number during a pandemic.

It is believed that the increase in cases is due to the fact that people are more free to intervene after Covid restrictions have been reduced and the Omicron BA.2 subvariant.

But now a further mutation has been discovered that could be more contagious World Health Organization (WHO) warned.

What do we know so far?

XE combines the genetic characteristics of Omicron variants BA.1 and BA.2, known as “recombinant”.

In a report released last week, the WHO said XE recombinant was first discovered in the UK on January 19 and said early tests showed it could be more contagious.

The report states: “Early estimates indicate a 10 per cent advantage over the BA.2 community growth rate, although this finding needs further confirmation.

“XE belongs to the Omicron variant until there are significant differences in transmission and disease characteristics, including severity.”

The United Kingdom Health Insurance Agency (UKHSA) said on Monday that the latest data show that the XE had a growth rate of 9.8 per cent above BA.2.

However, he warned that “because this assessment has not remained consistent, as new data has been added, it can not yet be interpreted as an assessment of the benefits of growth for the recombinant.”

“The numbers were too small for the XE recombinant to analyze by region,” the UKHSA said.

In a report published last week, the WHO said that XE recombinant was first discovered in the UK on 19 January.

How many cases are there in the UK?

The UKHSA said that as of March 22, 637 cases of XE had been reported England.

These are just a few of the cases, according to the latest data from the ONS, which shows that currently a record 4.9 million have the coronavirus.

The variant is also found in Thailand.

Does XE cause new symptoms of Covid-19?

Since the subvariant is new, the situation may change, but it is not currently considered that XE has new symptoms.

The most common symptoms of the original strain of Omicron are like a cold, especially in people who have been vaccinated.

These include runny nose, wheezing, and sore throat, in contrast to the original strain of the virus, which usually causes fever, cough, and loss of taste or smell.

However, the NHS General Covid’s official list of symptoms was expanded on Monday to include nine new signs of illness.

According to nhs.uk, signs of Covid-19 that people should also pay attention to include: shortness of breath, feeling tired or tired, sore body, headache, sore throat, blocked or runny nose, loss of appetite, diarrhea, illness Feeling or illness.
