Nicola Sturgeon News: Hilarious Video Mocking SNP’s Deafening Silence Against England’s Victory | UK | News

SNP leaders have always been a loud supporter of the Scottish national team in successful sports. But enthusiastic nationalists who have vowed to hold another referendum on Scottish independence during the current parliamentary period have yet to respond to England’s victory.

This was quickly picked up by a Scottish unionist. The unionist has created a video of an SNP reader depicting a face with the flag of St. George.

During the 18-second clip posted by the Glasgow West Unionist Club, Ms. Sturgeon is recreated by singing Tina Turner’s national anthem, Simply the Best.

They captioned the video: “Nikki asked me to post this little bit of humor on Saturday night.”

The account was added later: “Is it just me, or does she look like a devil outside the kiss?”

After the game, thousands of Scottish fans ignored the rules of social distance to have an all-night party in London.

Ms. Sturgeon was later accused of “trying to rewrite history” after the coronavirus surge was associated with Scottish fans traveling to London.

Thousands of Scottish supporters (many of whom don’t have tickets) have landed in the capital to see the team play against England on June 18.

Public Health Scotland figures have associated 1,294 cases of coronavirus with the Tartan military era in London.

Ms. Sturgeon was accused after claiming that the Scottish government was “very obvious” not to travel unless she had a ticket to her fans.

But prior to the match, SNP Culture Minister Jenny Gilluth said fans could travel if there was a safe place to watch the match.

She states: “Travel to London on June 18th only if you have a safe place to watch your ticket or match.”

On June 18, during a coronavirus briefing, Ms. Sturgeon praised Scotland’s “lively” fans and refused to blame those who violated social distance guidelines.

Talking to The Daily Telegraph’s Ian Murray, Shadow’s Scottish secretary accused the SNP of “trying to rewrite history.”

He added: [Scottish] The government has clearly stated that it is possible to travel if there is a safe place to watch the game, so the prime minister simply lied when he insisted that he would not travel without a ticket.

“Once again, the message from the government was mixed. As a result, the number of cases of Covid increased significantly. Ministers need to be aware.”

A similar message was delivered by Scottish Conservative Health Spokesperson Annie Wells.

She commented: “Rather than trying to rewrite history, Nicola Sturgeon needs to speak up about the lack of an effective message.”
