In some parts of England, people may be offered to check their blood pressure in betting shops under the biggest change of the NHS in the last decade.
Today, about 42 Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) are in place, bringing together GPs, hospitals, care services, and other local groups.
Clinical start-ups that previously controlled local health budgets will no longer be subject to change.
Under the program, the GP practice in Stockport offers blood pressure checks at betting shops, while the sports club in Coventry, North Warwickshire, offers diabetes և obesity support by attending the GP և gym.
Some GP practices have involved mental health staff to help young people.
The NHS England said the reforms would also save around միլիոն 14 million a year by reducing the number of NHS CEOs by almost 170.
Amanda Pritchard, executive director of the NHS, said integrated care systems “have the power to really change the way we care about people at the top of the earth.”
“Through these schemes, we are already making huge changes in people’s lives.
“The NHS will now build on this success և innovate ի provide patient care for the future, as it saves taxpayers millions of pounds each year.”

Some critics have expressed concern that integrated care systems, which divide the country into geographies of roughly the same size, are not equal in terms of needs and resources.
The Health Foundation, an independent charity, said in June:
“The pressures on services և population health are very different between ICSs as well as the resources available to address them.”
“ICSs also look very different in size, complexity and other characteristics.
“NHS fluctuations are not new, but these differences will shape how ICSs և their ability to work together to improve services.”
The British Medical Association said on its website. “BMA supports efforts to improve partnerships in both the NHS and the healthcare sector, as we recognize the potential value of greater integration.
“However, we do not support a single model of integration; we have been very critical of the approach taken by national authorities to the development of ICSs, their predecessors, the STPs (Stability Transformation Plan).
The BMA was also actively opposed to the Health Care Act being passed in parliament, and was campaigning loudly for a major change.
“More specifically, we believe that it is essential for ICSs to have a strong clinical voice in their structures, to maintain local decision-making, to be free from competition և private sector involvement և to be governed by the NHS և public reporting bodies.”
