New York: Fully clothed corpse pulled from Central Park pond
The fully clothed remains of a man were pulled from a public park in New York City’s Central Park just weeks after a decomposing corpse was found in a nearby lake.
Police found the clothed corpse floating face down in the turtle pond on Monday evening. The deceased was in his 20s. No criminal activity was suspected in the death.
The coroner’s office is investigating the man’s cause of death.
The name Turtle Pond comes from the invasive turtle colonies that live there, most of which have been abandoned by their owners.
It’s the second body removed from Central Park waters in less than two weeks.
