The broken heart mother asked for an answer after her son died within 12 hours of receiving it. Pfizer vaccine.
According to her mother, Tricia Garrett, 49, Luke Garrett, 20, had a fatal seizure in February when temperatures soared in her home in Tarbolton, South Ayrshire.
Garrett suffered from muscular dystrophy and had been shielded for about a year, so he was “excited” when it was finally his turn to vaccinate.
However, he died early in the morning the day after he got the jab, “ravaged” his family and longed for an answer.
The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is investigating Garrett’s death, but there is no evidence that the jab caused a seizure.
Muscular Dystrophy UK, a charity that supports people in this condition, said there was no link between people with muscle wasting and the side effects of the vaccine.
Mrs. Garrett, 49, explained that “foam came out of her mouth” during the attack and how she gave CPR to her dying son while waiting for rescue workers to arrive. ..
Tricia Garrett, 49, is seeking an answer after her son, Luke Garrett, 20, (pictured), died within 12 hours of receiving the Pfizer vaccine.
Two mothers, Mrs. Garrett, said: “I didn’t want him to get it. Luke had been shielding for about a year.
“He once had a support worker who came three times a week, he also had high-functioning autism and needed support for it, but he was so afraid of Covid that he did it. I canceled everything.
“He was excited to get his Covid jab and be able to go back to the world and live his life.
“He died less than 12 hours after his Covid Jab.
“His whole body was in terrible pain, he was really hot. Normally, in his condition, his legs could be painful, but this was different.
“Before he died, the arm he was injected with really hurt.
“Then he had a seizure, which is unprecedented.
“He started to fit and bubbles came out of his mouth.”
Mrs. Garrett, 49, (taken with her husband, Sean Garrett, 49), believes her son is still alive if he doesn’t get the Covid Jab that day.
“I called 111 around 1 am and told them that someone needed to come out. He thought he needed a muscle relaxant to relieve the terrible pain.
“The nurse told me to send someone within 2 hours, she was really detailed about everything, she asked about temperature and muscle aches.
“They promised to call back within two hours, but no one called.
“Instead, at 4 am I got a call asking if Luke still needed help. I just told them,” My son is dead. ”
Garrett was vaccinated at Ballochmyle Medical Practice after 3:00 pm on February 8th.
By midnight he was sick. An rescue worker hurriedly helped Garrett, but couldn’t do anything to save him. He died around 2:30 am.
It was only 10 days since he celebrated his 21st birthday.
Mrs. Garrett, who lives with her husband Sean, 49, and her 18-year-old daughter Anna, talked about how she gave her son CPR while waiting for rescue workers to arrive.
“The rescue workers had no clue as to what caused it, they just tried to give him adrenaline, but there was nothing more they could do.”
According to the statement, MHRA is investigating Mr. Garrett’s death-as well as all “serious and suspicious side effects.”
Mrs. Garrett added:
Mrs. Garrett, who lives with her husband Sean (49) and her 18-year-old daughter Anna (taken a photo together), gave her son CPR while waiting for rescue workers to arrive. Told how
“He visits the clinic every year and gets a heart test every six months because muscular dystrophy can affect your heart.
“He was taking heart medicine as a precautionary measure.
“After death, his heart turned out to be in perfect condition. He had never had an epileptic seizure.”
A spokesperson for MHRA said:
“As with serious and suspicious ADRs, reports with fatal consequences are possible to determine if the vaccine may have caused the event, or if there were any events and fatal consequences. Is fully assessed by MHRA, including a detailed assessment after death. It is purely coincidental and may be due to an underlying disorder.
‘MHRA also continually monitors the nature of the adverse events reported with the Covid-19 vaccine, including reports of seizures and seizures.
“Current evidence does not show an association between the Covid-19 vaccine and the onset of seizure events, with or without a history of seizures.”
Garrett (his mother and father, photo) suffered from muscular dystrophy and had been shielded for about a year, so he was “excited” when his turn to vaccinate was finally able to “live life.” ..
Dr. Joyto Murinson, co-director of public health for NHS Ayrshire and Alan, said:
“The practice of local general practitioners has helped provide vaccinations to community-based shielded and home-based patients in their 80s and older.
‘As part of this vaccine program, Ballochmyle Medical Practice has not stopped the vaccine program and continues to provide vaccines to eligible patients.
“We continue to encourage those who offer vaccination to take on their appointments. The benefits of the Covid-19 vaccine outweigh the risks and continue to be a safe and effective vaccine.
“The vaccination program, along with both symptomatic and asymptomatic tests, is one of the three important ways we are working to defeat the virus, and the field that everyone in Scotland must follow. Stay in the guidance of. ”
The Scottish Government states that there is no “causal link” between Pfizer vaccine and death.
A Scottish Government spokesperson said: “Our thoughts and condolences are in Luke’s family, and all those who lost their loved ones during this horrific pandemic are unimaginable.
“The vaccine is safe and has been approved by regulators, including MHRA. We recommend that everyone who is offered vaccination be vaccinated.
“There is no causal link between the Pfizer vaccine and deaths in the UK. MHRA has been warned of all deaths that patients have recently been vaccinated against, and they draw their own conclusions.
“It would be inappropriate to comment further on individual cases.”
A Pfizer spokesperson said yesterday:
“We carefully monitor all such events, collect relevant information and share it with regulators around the world, including the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in the United Kingdom.
“To date, millions of people have been vaccinated with our vaccine.
“It is important to note that serious adverse events unrelated to the vaccine can occur in the population.
“Our immediate idea lies in the bereaved family.”
Muscular dystrophy UK They say they have helped Garrett’s family through trials.
A spokeswoman said: “We provide support and guidance to individuals and families living in a state of muscle exhaustion and are always here for those who have experienced bereavement.
“We worked closely with Luke Garrett’s family to support them during this difficult time and immediately circulated details to relevant medical professionals and authorities.
“MHRA confirmed that an analysis of data on people who received the Covid-19 vaccine showed no association between muscle atrophy and the experience of vaccine side effects.
“Through the Covid-19 Pandemic, we shared guidance on our website for people affected by muscle wasting.
“We are not clinically trained, so we rely on collaboration with key neuromuscular clinical and healthcare professionals to provide information and advice on how to do this.
“Our helpline provides guidance to people with muscle exhaustion.”
NHS24 Medical Director-Scotland’s NHS Telephone Services-Dr. Laura Ryan said: ‘NHS24 is very disappointed to hear Luke’s death and our sympathy is with his family during this difficult time.
“If Luke’s family contacts us directly, we will work with them.”
