Washington [US]July 10 (ANI): Whiplash actor Miles Teller has spoken again about working alongside Tom Cruise in Top Gun. After the phenomenal success of Maverick at the international box office. The actor revealed that he “had some conversations” about the next film.
According to Deadline, Miles Teller, who plays Maverick’s late best friend Cockerel, the son of Goose, opposite Tom Cruise in the title role, told Entertainment Tonight: [Tom Cruise] about that. We’ll see.” The news will come as a treat to his fans who flocked to theaters to see the big-budget sequel to the original 1986 film. Just a few days ago, Maverick saw it cross the US$1 billion mark at the global box office to become the highest-grossing film of the year worldwide, surpassing Marvel’s adventure film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Teller added, however, that the decision inevitably had to be made by Cruise, who initially did not relish the prospect of making a sequel, before committing his legendary commitment to the film, according to Deadline.
“That would be great, but it all depends on TC. It’s all up to Tom,” Teller said.
Meanwhile, Cruise continues to work on his latest film Mission: Impossible, shooting scenes between trips to watch Wimbledon tennis in London and a Rolling Stones set in the capital’s Hyde Park. (ANI)
