MI school board chair removed after hitting purse holder by hitting her head on a table ‘

A Michigan school board president was fired after she brutally attacked the board’s treasurer by smashing her head on a table and smothering her at a meeting.

Flint Community School Board President Danielle Green was relieved of her duties after she attacked Treasurer Laura McIntyre at the Finance Committee meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Superintendent Kevelin Jones told M Live that the couple came to a disagreement over building new schools.

At an emergency meeting later that day where Green was removed, McIntyre, sporting two black eyes, said there was ‘no fight’ leading to the attack and the ‘only person fighting’ was Green.

She said Green got up and ‘turned’ over her at the financial meeting and started ‘threatening me with her finger’.

‘I got up to go back, after which she grabbed my throat and then grabbed my hair and hit my head on the table and started hitting me in the head,’ she said. ‘It was not fair, unintentional and completely inappropriate. It is not tolerated and we are taking action tonight.

‘At the time, I was shocked and surprised. It had never occurred to me that such a thing would ever escalate like this.

‘There was no fight. There was no argument. This escalated out of nowhere and very soon it was an attack. It was an attack.

‘I’m only here to make sure the truth comes out and justice is served.

“I was attacked out of nowhere, for no reason.”

McIntyre, a self-defined ‘queer mother-of-three’, said she would file a police report and will file charges. Green was not arrested by the police. McIntyre also said she had to be taken to hospital for her injuries and had a concussion, according to the Detroit News.

“At this point, I intend to follow this to the full extent of the law and I look at my other legal options as an individual,” McIntyre said at the meeting, according to ABC 12 News.

Although Green, also a mother of three, was removed from her role as chairperson, she has still served on the Board of Education since she was elected.

The board decided to keep police at all future meetings until further notice, NBC 25 News reported.

Green told ABC 12 News that this is not one of my highlights of my everything, my life, my career, my position in the community.

‘I’m not proud of that. Absolutely not. And this is one incident.

‘Never in my life would I have thought of such things where I will ever, ever be involved. And I can say that, my record speaks for itself. ‘

Green was elected president in January and for the past six years has served as curator and vice president. McIntyre was elected treasurer around the same time she became president.

Earlier this month, Green, who has a master’s in education, posted on Facebook: ‘I just love my board !!! PERIOD. ‘

She will be replaced by Board Vice President Joyce Ellis-McNeal for the remainder of Green’s term, which ends in January.

A board member said the fight was moving, ‘It was not good. I did not like it. And I did my best to limit it and stop it. It was not good enough (to stop the alleged attack). [McIntyre] had not deserved it, ‘said trustee Allen Gilbert.

Superintendent Jones published a statement on behalf of Flint Community Schools, stating that he was “aware” of the incident and “committed to the safety of all members of our school community.”

“I want to assure families that we will remain focused on our mission to provide our scholars with a high quality education,” he wrote in a statement. “We are this school year and further focused on our families.”

Green often posts photos that show her at various schools for children to read, including reading her own children’s book. My Smart Girl is part of a seven-book series, although only two are published on Amazon that focuses on teachers helping young girls learn valuable life lessons.

She is also the author of two other books, I Wish I Woulda Known Me Back Then, and Shoulda Coulda Woulda, which has a display of leggy girls in short skirts on the cover and is about her ‘hood’ Flint, Michigan , because ‘all caps have a story.’

She has dedicated her books to her three daughters, Tia, Alyssa and Makala.

Green is also an author, including a series of children's books aimed at teachers who help young girls learn valuable life lessons. Two of the seven book series are available on Amazon and are titled Hey Pretty Girl (pictured) and Hey Smart Girl

DailyMail.com has contacted McIntyre, Green, the school board and the Flint PD for comment.

The Flint School Board has hit waves in recent years as members have clashed over their mask policies, critical raste theory and other topics. Two board members also resigned in September, the reason being unknown.

The school board also plans to discuss the $ 150 million in federal COVID-19 aid money it received. The board said Wednesday it would begin strategizing on how the funds should be spent.
