Meatloaf was born in Dallas, Texas, as an only child.
He formed the first band Meat Loaf Soul, played the first gig in 1968, and opened Van Morrison’s band Themand Question Mark and the Mysterians.
As some musicians changed, the band experienced several renamings, including Popcorn Blizzard and Floating Circus.
After appearing on several Broadway shows, he played the roles of Eddie and Dr. Everett Scott at the 1975 Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Following this, he released his famous Bat Out of Hell album in 1977. It was written and produced by Jim Steinman and sold an estimated 43 million copies.
Jim died of renal failure on April 19th last year at the age of 73.
At that time, Meatloaf paid homage, as he said. “”He has been the centerpiece of my life since I met Jim. And I have always been his centerpiece. Jim couldn’t do anything and couldn’t go anywhere because I wasn’t with him or I wasn’t there. Whatever he did, they talked about me. Whatever I did, they talked about Jim. And I didn’t care. I wanted. “
