Mandy Moore beams in animal print dress as she joins This Is Us cast for premiere of Season 6

Mandy Moore and the cast of This Is Us all gathered for what was assumably an emotional season premiere.  

On Monday night the beloved players of the hit NBC show all got together at Paramount Studios to see a preliminary screening of their their sixth and final season.  

Sadly marking the beginning of the end for the cast and viewers alike, the show’s run will come to a close in 2022, with the season debuting its first episode on January 4.

Coming to a close: On Monday night Mandy Moore and the beloved cast of the hit NBC show This Is Us all got together at Paramount Studios for the premiere of their sixth and final season which will air on January 4, 2022

Moore, 37, who has played Rebecca Pearson on the show for the last six years, cut a stylish figure in a mixed animal print dress. 

The black and white frock included slight hints of olive green as well as zebra stripes and leopard spots tastefully meshing. 

The A Walk To Remember star paired the high neck dress with olive suede pumps to match, and carried a stylish black hand bag. 

Her brown hair was parted to the side and left in loose waves for the evening and she accessorized minimally with the exception of big diamond studs.

While Mandy went glam her on-screen husband Milo Ventimiglia wore a more casual outfit which included a cardigan and jeans with rugged sneakers. 

The handsome 44-year-old star who plays Jack Pearson, remained relatively stone-faced throughout the evening but did delight fans as he posed alongside Moore.

In a recent chat with E! News, Milo shared the secret to he and Mandy’s on-screen chemistry.  

‘I remember Mandy and I sitting to the side and I said, “Let’s always talk. Let’s always communicate. Just like a real relationship, just like a real married couple. Let’s make sure that that’s the foundation of what we do,”‘ he recalled.

Touched: 'I mean, who would have ever thought as an actor that you get an opportunity to be on a show like this, that impacts so many people's lives that you will never meet?,' Hartley said in conversation as he reflected on the series' reception over the years

During the chat Moore shared that she would be a ‘total wreck’ once the show finished and called the cast ‘a family’ while adding that there would ‘never be another job that is this special.’

Chrissy Metz who plays the pair’s daughter Kate Pearson wore a silk emerald frock adorned with flowers with combat boots for an edge. 

Discussing her character she said immediately upon reading the part she felt connected: ‘I am her, she was me.’

The other kids that make up ‘the big 3’ are Sterling K. Brown who plays Randall, and Justin Hartley who plays Kevin.

Brown had called the pilot for the show ‘the best network television pilot’ he’d ever read, and his character’s storyline has dealt with hard topics including adoption, race, the need for perfection and even being the parent of an LGBTQ+ child.  

Hartley had spoken about the show has been relatable to so many people in different walks of life based on the versatility of the cast storylines.  

‘I mean, who would have ever thought as an actor that you get an opportunity to be on a show like this, that impacts so many people’s lives that you will never meet? What an absolute treat.’   

Chris Sullivan who plays Toby (Kate’s husband) said that often times the issues his character dealt with too closely mirrored his own life including a real life battle with depression. 

‘Having to deal with anxiety and depression in my own life and then to also have to go to work and explore it and put it on display in Toby’s life was certainly a heavy time,’ Sullivan divulged.

 Susan Kelechi Watson, who plays Randall’s wife Beth showed off an ornate dress with a collar and midriff cutouts, while her three on-screen daughters Lyric Ross (Deja), Faithe Herman (Annie) and Eris Baker (Tessa) showcased their personal style in other stunning looks. 

Watson had previously teased that the final season would tie up some loose ends — hopefully to viewers’ liking. ‘I do believe each storyline will have its closure. It will be a very satisfying season.’ 

For six years the show — which spans both past, present, and future — has followed the Pearson family through life, death, birth and various personal struggles, which have captivated the hearts of viewers and caused many a tears. 

Though the show is set to come to a close, the primary cast: Moore, Ventimiglia, Metz, Hartley, Brown, Kelechi Watson and Sullivan had touched on the idea of perhaps a reboot or movie spin-off down the line. 

The sixth and final season premieres January 4 and will have 18 episodes in total.
