Police confirmed that they were called to a road scene in London at 2:25 pm.

A 19-year-old man was sent to the hospital, but his condition is unknown.

Croydon police said: “We are investigating a puncture wound on SW16’s London Road at 2:25 pm.

“A 19-year-old man was taken to the hospital.

“We are waiting for an assessment of his condition.

“There were no arrests. Witnesses are asked to call 101, ref4162 / 17sep.

“Please contact Crimestoppers to remain anonymous.”
