Lewis Hamilton has maintained his hopes for a record eighth F1 title by winning the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and bringing the championship battle to the final race of the season.

British driver Hamilton, 36, will face Red Bull rival Max Verstappen at championship points prior to his final Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi.

Hamilton is currently tied to Germany’s legendary Michael Schumacher at most world championships, but next weekend’s victory could break his record and make him an eight-time title holder.

The race on Sunday was full of action with two red flags and a controversial clash between Verstappen and Hamilton on lap 37.

Each pair will be in the final race with 369.5 points, and Verstappen will compete for the next world champion with Hamilton’s eight wins and nine wins.
