South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster said the storm was not as bad as expected in South Carolina so far, but advised residents to stay vigilant.

“Many prayers have been answered. This storm isn’t as bad as it sounds, but don’t let your guard down just yet,” McMaster said. “We are not out of the woods. There is water on the roads, strong winds are still blowing and it is still dangerous in many parts of the state.”
