Jim Courier and Leila McKinnon announced as new hosts for the 2022 season of Australian Ninja Warriors

Tennis champion Jim Courier and TV star Leila McKinnon have been announced as new hosts for the Australian Ninja Warrior “Supercharger” 2022 season.


A new host for the 2022 season of Australian Ninja Warriors has been announced.

Tennis champion Jim Courier (51) and TV presenter Leila McKinnon (49) will stand in front of the show.

They will join KIIS FM’s Will & Woody show comedians Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw as sideline comedians.

This year, the show looks very different after hosts Ben Fordham and Rebecca Maddern have left.

Fordham, 45, resigned in October to focus on the 2GB breakfast program, but continues to be part of the Nine family.

Madhan, 44, left the network altogether last month after contract negotiations stalled.

She returned to Channel Seven and, along with Mike Amor, acted as a weekend newsreader for 7News Melbourne.

“Like Grand Slam tennis, the Australian Open winner Jim is an amazing test of athletic performance and tenacity,” he said on Saturday.

“I’m excited to join this year’s ninjas to test their physical and mental limits,” he added.

Leila says she’s a “big fan” of the show and is excited to start her run in a physical challenge-based program.

“It will now be a privilege to stand in front of and center these athletes to see what they can achieve when tested,” she said.

“This year, Ninjas will be even faster and higher on the new supercharged obstacle course.”
